Looking forward to watching. Thank you for exploring humanity in this way. It is of great value to anyone willing to open their heart to the universal truth of life. ❤️
This episode will be fascinating to watch. Here is a phrase I heard in a movie I thought you might appreciate: “Healing does not mean cure.” I think this statement has been around, but I never heard it before. For a believer in healing, complete and full, I bet it twists their thoughts. I agree with it, but what about the people who are coping with the chronic and terminal illnesses? Does this comment shatter hope?
The documentary you describe, Mayim, reminds me of a special book I read years ago called The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton. It struck me as a modern black inmate’s version of Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. Here’s one of my favorite quotes:
I was on death row not by my own choice, but I had made a choice to spend the last three years thinking about killing McGregor and thinking about killing myself. Despair was a choice. Hatred was a choice. Anger was a choice… I still had some choices…I could choose to give up or to hang on. Hope was a choice. Faith was a choice…love was a choice. Compassion was a choice.
Humans are so multifaceted and powerful if we allow ourselves to be.

It captures a tangible tension between his past influences and the choices he made moving forward.
Resilience while living in unjust and inhumane limits...I feel moved to my deepest soul by this story!
